Share Your Donor and Recipient Stories - Video Submissions Now being Accepted.
– Deadline: August 31, 2025 –
Dear Colleagues,
As part of the ISODP Congress 2025 in Kyoto, we would like to showcase a selection of short video stories, focussed on donor families and recipients, from across the global donation and transplantation community. These will be shown before all the plenary sessions to honour the generosity of donors and the impact of transplantation around the world, offering a meaningful and human introduction to the speakers and their talks.
We’re inviting national organisations to submit a short video (2 minutes max) that highlights a powerful moment in a donor or recipient story. We’re especially keen to feature brief, meaningful reflections, a particular memory, feeling or insight, rather than full donor journeys. Donor family and recipient stories remain the most powerful too for increasing awareness of organ donation, but also for mobilising and inspiring us as organ donation professionals.
Submission Guidelines
To ensure consistency and quality across the submissions, please follow these technical requirements:
- Video duration: Maximum 2 minutes (submissions exceeding this cannot be considered)
- Format: Landscape orientation
- Audio: Clear audio track, free from background noise
- Subtitles: Subtitles must be embedded in the video (in English).
- Branding: Please include your organizational logo, either as a watermark or end frame.
- File type: Any standard video format is acceptable, though .mp4 or .mov is preferred.
How to Submit
Our colleagues at NHSBT have kindly offered to assist the ISODP Congress planning committee in the process of receiving and editing the videos.
Please transfer your video file to jonathan.endres@nhsbt.nhs.uk using www.wetransfer.com.
Deadline for submissions: 31st August 2025
A small review panel will select 5–6 videos to be shown during the plenary session. Videos will be played immediately before a speaker takes the stage, offering a moment of connection and reflection for the audience.
Consent and Permissions
By submitting a video, you confirm that:
- You have obtained all necessary permissions from individuals featured in the video.
- Your organisation grants ISODP permission to screen the video publicly at the Congress.
Please complete and return the attached brief consent form with your submission.
We hope you’ll consider sharing a story from your country. These personal reflections bring depth and humanity to our shared work and would create a great foundation of appreciation for our donors at Kyoto 2025.
